RICHMOND, Va - Organic fruits and veggies are all the rage, but the prices for these items are high. Well, there is a fun way to grow your own organic mushrooms with a mushroom log. Jim Kaeser, Master Gardener and part of the Chesterfield County Virginia Cooperative Extension, joined Daphne Schmidt, Special Programs Coordinator at the Math and Science Innovation Center, to teach middle school student how to grow mushrooms on logs, and the benefits of organic foods.
