LAKELAND, Fla. – Publix announced Wednesday that its grocery stores are now offering extended shopping hours dedicated to first responders and hospital staff.
The grocery store chain is designating Thursday evenings, 8 – 9 p.m., and Friday mornings, 7 – 8 a.m., as special shopping hours for first responders and hospital staff.
Publix Pharmacy will also be open during these times.
The change in hours will begin April 16 and continue until further notice.
Last month, Publix announced dedicated shopping hours for senior citizens to help them shop safely amid the coronavirus pandemic.
