Picking up what they’re putting down: local businesses encourage pickup and delivery

RICHMOND, Va. - In these times of social distancing, we’re all longing to enjoy the spots we were frequenting just a few short weeks ago. CBS 6 is offering We’re Open Virginia, an effort to tell the stories of businesses and restaurants who are still providing services and who need your support more than ever.

Day Three Bath & Body of Mechanicsville offers the perfect fresh, natural and handmade soaps to help you keep your hands clean! Owner Joy Davis is offering pickup at her location in Mechanicsville and for customers within a 10-mile radius of the shop, she is offering porch drop offs. The shop is located at 8161 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Suite C behind the Cold Harbor Restaurant.

Day Three Bath & Body is offering FREE handmade soaps to anyone in need. Davis says all you have to do is email the name and address where they can deliver or ship the complimentary items to customerservice@shopdaythree.com.

Visit their website to learn more about their products and opportunity to send hand soaps to those in need.

Ironclad Coffee Roasters is offering food and drinks from their cafe for pickup or delivery from their mobile ordering app. Most recently, the team at Ironclad Coffee Roasters sent a big batch of coffee to the hospital staff at VCU Medical Center who have been working tirelessly. You, too, can have tasty coffee to keep you energized during your telework day. Order today to have locally-produced coffee beans shipped right to your door. Visit their website or call 804-709-0998 to place your order.

Our neighbors, popular restaurants LUNCH. or SUPPER! in Scott’s Addition, are now offering pickup orders. The menu, which will change often, has been posted on their website, Facebook page and Instagram.

Pickup is available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 1213 – 1215 Summit Avenue in Richmond. Just call 804-353-0111 and select option 1 to connect to the restaurant and place your order. Gratuities offered are being channeled directly to the R&L Hospitality Group Employee Fund.
