RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Republican Attorney General candidate Mark Obenshain will “formally request a recount,” his campaign announced Tuesday.
Obenshain’s legal team plans to address the recount in a Wednesday conference call.
Obenshain trails Democrat Mark Herring by 165 votes, according to the Virginia State Board of Elections. More than 2.2 million votes were cast in the race.
