PETERSBURG - Petersburg Police responded to a number of calls this morning for shots fired in the Walnut Hill area.

Three men, all from North Carolina, used a gun, poles, huge rocks and knives to damage 46 cars within 45 minutes, according to Petersburg Police.

The suspects dented cars and knocked out windshields, rear and door windows . They damaged cars on Varina Ave, Johnson Road, Oakridge Road, Matoax Avenue, Tuckahoe Street, Berkley Avenue, Brandon Avenue, Westover Avenue, Northampton and Hampton Road

Petersburg Police say the men may have been visiting relatives in the area and charges are pending as police continue to investigate.
