Jeffrey Howard (Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office / July 1, 2009)
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY -
Police say a 20-year-old man is facing drunk driving charges for a third time and he's not even drinking age yet.
Deputies with the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office were called to the Oak Grove subdivison after someone called 911 saying someone hit a stop sign and kept going.
But that's not all witnesses say Jeffery Howard hit, they say he mowed down several mailboxes before pulling into a driveway.
When deputies approached the car, he said he was at a friend's house but the homeowner said they'd never seen him before in their life.
Howard faces 15 hit and run charges and 15 destruction of property charges.
Deputies say they also found marijuana in Howard's car and this is his third drinking and driving charge in five years.
