CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA - The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a three car accident involving a patrol officer that occurred at the intersection of Beulah Rd and Mason Crest Dr just after 1pm Saturday.
Police said that an officer on routine patrol was traveling west on Beulah Rd when the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, traveling East on Beulah, turned in front of the officer. The two vehicles collided and then the Impala struck a 2002 Kia Spectra on Mason Crest Drive.
The Chesterfield Officer received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The operator of the Impala was taken to the hospital for treatment. The operator of the Impala was transported to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the Kia Spectra was unhurt.
