RICHMOND -- In observance of the Labor Day Holiday, all Post Offices in the Richmond District (comprised of ZIP codes beginning with 224, 225, 228 239 and 244) will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2009. There will be no retail service or collection box pick up, and only Express Mail will be delivered.
Many offices in the district will have limited retail hours on Friday and Saturday, September 4 and 5. Revised hours and alternate access information are posted at each office. Customers may call their local Post Office for specific hours of operation (to obtain local phone numbers, call 1-800-ASK- USPS). PO Box customers will have full access to their lobby boxes. Commercial customers are asked to check with their Business Mail Entry Unit for holiday hours of operation. All post offices will provide full mail delivery on Friday and Saturday.

PETERSBURG MAIN OFFICE, 29 Franklin Street, Petersburg, VA 23803 Friday 9am 5pm, Saturday 10am - noon
