Firetruck Collides with Pick-Up Truck
CHESTERFIELD -
Two firefighters are hurt after their firetruck collides with a pick-up truck in Chesterfield.
It happened around 9 a.m. Thursday morning in the 5800 block of Iron Bridge Road. Police tell us the fire truck was leaving Fire Station 11 when it collided with that pick-up truck in the middle of the intersection. At the time, the fire truck was not responding to a call.
Both firefighters that were hurt were taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up was also taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
