Congressman Eric Cantor says he plans to hold a job fair in Chesterfield next month.
Below are the details of the event, sent out by Cantor's Office:
Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) is pleased to announce that he will be hosting a job fair with area businesses. The event will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009, from 9:30AM- 1:30PM, at Clover Hill High School in Midlothian, Va.
In addition to meeting with area businesses, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in breakout seminars on topics such as resume writing, interviewing skills, searching for jobs and accessing benefits in the case of unemployment.
Congressman Cantor made the following comments regarding the announcement:
"In these tough economic times, I continue to work with my colleagues in the Congress to establish long-term solutions that will put Virginia businesses and Virginia workers back on the path to financial stability. Virginia's 7th District is home to many talented individuals and a wide array of employers. I hope this event will provide a mutually beneficial opportunity to both employers and potential employees to learn about the great resources we have in our region."
