A tractor trailer accident on I-85 Saturday afternoon leaves one dead. State Police tell us the tragic accident happened around 3:45 p.m. in the Northbound Lanes of 1-85 near the Boyton Plank Road Exit.
Police say 73-year old Authur E. Dexter of Hughesville, Maryland attempted to change lanes when he struck another vehicle. Police tell us Mr. Dexter overcorrected and then went off the road.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. Mr. Dexter died on the scene.
