An early Saturday morning blaze completely destroys a warehouse in Henrico County.
Henrico Fire tell us they received a call for service at 4:19 a.m Saturday morning for an uncontrollable fire in the 3700 Block of Nine Mile Road at IFCO.
Crews responded to the scene and the fire quickly escalated to a 3-alarm status. It took firefighters over an hour to get the blaze under control.
The fire was contained to one large building which contained pallets and pallet making materials.
Henrico Fire say crews will remain on scene this morning as there are numerous hot spots which remain. The warehouse is totally destroyed. There are no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire still remains under investigation. Fire officials tell us the Eastbound lane of Nine Mile Road is currently closed, however, the Westbound lane remains open.
