A tractor trailer driver has been charged with DUI and hit and run in connection with two separate accidents.Police tell CBS 6 they believe 34-year-old Christopher Fiorello was high on drugs when he crashed his tractor trailer into a car, stopped on the side of the roads in Colonial Heights Tuesday night. Witnesses say the driver inside the disabled car was able to jump out right before the sem,i hit it. The tractor trailer went over the guardrail and rolled down an embankment. I-95 near mile marker 55 will remain closed for another several hours while crews offload 300 gallons of fuel from the tractor trailer.
State Police also think Fiorello may be responsible for a second accident that happened on Chippenham Parkway in Chesterfield County. That crash is still under investigation.

TRACTOR-TRAILER DRIVER CHARGED IN TWO SEPARATE CRASHES
A Sandston resident is facing charges after two separate motor vehicle crashes this evening Tuesday, March 9, 2010. At 6:18 p.m., Virginia State Police Trooper J. R. Goodrich was called to the scene of the first crash on southbound Chippenham Parkway to southbound Interstate 95.
A 2007 Freightliner Tractor-Trailer was traveling southbound Chippenham when he sideswiped a 2010 International Tractor-Trailer on the ramp to southbound 95. After striking the International Tractor-Trailer, the driver of the Freightliner continued traveling southbound. Neither driver was injured in the crash.
At 6:32 p.m., Virginia State Police Trooper J. H. Reisch was called to the scene of the second crash on southbound Interstate 95 approximately one mile north of Temple Avenue. The 2007 Freightliner ran off the right side of the roadway striking a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta that was disabled on the right shoulder. The tractor-trailer then impacted a guardrail before coming to rest down an embankment. An occupant inside the Volkswagen managed to exit the vehicle before being struck. No one was injured in the second crash.
The driver of the 2007 Freightliner, Christopher N. Fiorillo, 34, of Sandston, Va., was arrested at the scene of the crash. Fiorillo is charged in Chesterfield for felony hit and run. He is also charged in Colonial Heights for Driving under the Influence and reckless driving. Both crashes remain under investigation.
