Racial Tensions At Manchester High School?
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY - "I'm coming to get my child," says Jamie Buckmaster. The mother of a 10th grader at Chesterfield's Manchester High School says things have gotten so bad, now school administrators are singling out students for what they are wearing.

"Apparently an administrator took her out of the classroom today and accused her of being racist for wearing a white T- shirt and a camouflaged jacket," she says moments before going into the school office to sign out her daughter, Amber.

She says her problems started Wednesday morning when she and her friends were walking into the building, that's when a school official stopped the group and talked to them about their white t-shirts and camo attire.

The sophomore says she was singled out, "Said I had sent some text messages and I was provoking everybody and that I was persuaded to be a racist because I'm wearing a white t-shirt and camo."

Part of the problems stem from a fight on Monday. The aftermath of that is a flurry of rumors and text messages about tension between some students and possible violence.

While some students say it isn't racial, others say it is. One student adds it's not the entire student body causing problems, instead it's two "clicks".

The principal says he is trying to settle tension by telling students that disruptions at the school won't be tolerated and by telling parents to not believe the rumors.

Police were at the school Wednesday morning but the day ended without incident.
