A shooting in Richmond leaves a teenager shot in the leg.

It happened at around 10:30 Saturday night. CBS 6 has noticed there's been a pattern of shootings after teen parties during the past several weeks. Police Chief Bryan Norwood told us earlier this week that teen parties that turn violent are a concern for the department.

Today police sources telling us Saturday night's shooting involved a party where teenagers where hanging out. Police say the shooting happened in the 3200 block of W. Clay Street, which is a few blocks off Broad Street and a few blocks from the Boulevard.

Police were responding some time around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Neighbors from several blocks away tell CBS 6 they heard multiple gun shots and when they came out to Broad Street, they saw big crowds of teenagers walking East toward The Fan.

Richmond police say they are still investigating the shooting and aren't releasing many new details.

Police say they can't confirm if the party from last night was connected to the other recent incidents.

The victim's injures are non life-threatening.
