Another Picture Released of Baby Found in Shopping Bag

Chesterfield County police have released another photo of the baby girl found in a shopping bag last Monday.

The new photo shows the baby with her eyes open. Police hope that someone will recognize the child and lead them to her mother or additional family members.

The newborn was found Monday in the 700 block of Vickilee Court. She was inside a brown shopping bag and left beside a school bus stop. Police think the person who abandoned the child may have been familiar with the area and knew that there would be a good chance the child would be found.

Police first thought the baby was hours old, but they now say she's at least three weeks old.
