RICHMOND -
Downtown adult-nightclub owner Sam Moore filed an appeal Wednesday hoping to regain his liquor license.
Nearly a month ago, the Virginia Alcohol and Beverage Commission revoked it saying Moore allowed underage drinking and alcohol to be consumed in unlicensed parts of his club, Velvet, located in downtown Shockoe Bottom.
Moore's lawyer says he's been targeted and that the removal of his liquor license is a threat to his livelihood.
When it comes to ruling on returning the license, the VABC does not have to comply to a deadline.
