RICHMOND -
The Richmond SWAT team helps police make an overnight arrest in South Richmond.
At 12:51 Tuesday morning the Richmond Police Department was called to a home at 1130 Newell Road for a report of a gun shot fired. Police say two people inside the home got into a fight resulting in one person firing a gun.
Police say they called in the SWAT team for backup when the suspect would not surrender to officers on scene.
Around 3:00 a.m. Richmond Police negotiators eventually convinced the suspect to give up.
64-year-old John Oules is charged with attempted murder.
