AAA Mid-Atlantic expects more than 900,000 Virginians to take a vacation this Labor Day weekend. That number is up almost 10% compared to last year.
AAA says most of those travelers will travel by car and many drivers are leaving for vacation later this year as they waited to see what impact Hurricane Earl had on their destination.
