HOPEWELL—
Here's the news release from Hopewell Police:HOPEWELL, VA - On March 16, 2010,at approximately 2:15 P.M., a 16 year old female was walking in the 500 block of Jefferson Ave when she was approached by two black males, one of which was an acquaintance, in a maroon Mazda 626.
The known offender, identified as Jonathan Pegram, and a second unknown black male forced the female into the vehicle, drove her to a secondary location and sexually assaulted her.
The victim escaped from the vehicle and contacted police. The victim was able to identify Mr. Pegram in a photo line-up. Warrants have been obtained for Mr. Pegram for Forcible Sodomy, Abduction, and Petit Larceny.
Mr. Pegram is described as a 23 year old black male, 5'9"- 5'10", 135 - 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. His hair may be in braids or twists.
