Three people were taken to the hospital after a fire truck collided with a small car in the Fan Tuesday morning. It happened at the intersection of Cary Street and Meadow Street just after 7:00 a.m.

According to investigators, a fire crew heading to an emergency-medical call collided with a Mini-Cooper. We're told the fire truck did have its emergency lights turned on at the time.

Two firefighters and the driver of the car were taken to VCU Medical Center. None of their injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Richmond police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
