Essex County Fire Chief Werth Haze says at approximately 3:30 p.m., they got a call about an explosion inside a mobile home at 280 Farmerhill Road in Essex County.
When they arrived Haze says the victim, a man, was badly burned.
Investigators say the victim was attempting to light a stove inside his mobile home. Thats when a minor explosion occurred, due to excessive propane.
There was no structural damage, but 50% of the victim's body was burned, says Haze.
