Got Drugs? Turn Them in to Police.
Do you have tons of prescription drugs sitting in your medicine cabinet? Do you use them or are they just sitting there?

The Drug Enforcement Administration along with law enforcement officials nationwide are participating in the national prescription drug "Take-Back" initiative.

The DEA wants to collect your unused and potentially dangerous prescription drugs for destruction. You can drop off your medications on Saturday, September 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Reports show that a majority of prescription drug abuse cases occur after a medication is received from a family member or friend.

There's also growing concern that most people don't know how to properly disposed of the unused medications and end up flushing them down the toilet or throwing them away which are considered safety hazards.
