HANOVER COUNTY—
The 21-year-old former Kings Dominion worker charged with improperly touching a child, accepted a plea deal in court Thursday. Dong Wang plead guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery.Deputies arrested him last month and charged him with aggravated sexual battery. They say Wang lifted the eight-year-old boy up by his bottom to help him play a game, and told the boy to give him a kiss on the cheek.
Prosecutors say Dong Wang was orginally facing up to 40-years in prison if convicted on that felony charge and would have been classified as a sex offender.
Instead, Wang was sentenced to 10-months in jail, with nine months suspended and one month time served.
In addition, the judge ordered Wang to return to his home country of China and told him he must fly back Friday morning. The judge said if Wang fails to return home he will be re-arrested and returned to jail. He is also required to have no contact with the eight-year-old victim.
At last check, Wang remained in jail on a federal hold that was put in place during his initial arrest. Sources tell CBS 6, Friday, federal agents will pick up Wang from the Hanover County jail and take him to Dulles to ensure that he leaves the country.
