DINWIDDIE COUNTY—
State police say a Petersburg man was killed Monday afternoon in a Dinwiddie County car accident.Police say 82-year-old Nelson E. Morton lost control of his 2005 Toyota Tundra while traveling north on Route 1. Police say he ran off the road and struck a tree.
The accident occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m.on Route 1 near White Oak Road.
State police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
