Man Arrested Minutes After First Market Bank Robbery
Police arrested a man minutes after the First Market bank branch at 9027 Forest Hill Avenue was robbed at about 11:15 a.m. today.
A man entered the bank, approached a teller demanded money and displayed a gun in his waistband and then approached a second teller and demanded more money. The suspect then fled and got into a vehicle. Officers quickly spotted the vehicle within the Bon Air area and took the man into custody without incident.
Gregory M. Wood 42, of the 7800 block of Whitworth Road, is charged with two counts each of robbery and use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond in the Chesterfield County Jail pending a hearing in the Chesterfield County General District Court.
