Authorities from the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries have released the name of the victim in Saturday afternoon's fatal hunting accident, 42-year old Keith Andrew Murphy.

A Glen Allen man is dead today, following a tragic accident in Charles City. According to a spokesperson from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, the man was on a hunting expedition with a few friends Saturday afternoon and died after the gun accidentally went off, hitting him.
It happened at the intersection of Barnetts Road and Route 5 in Charles City. Not many details are available at this time, but CBS 6 has learned that the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is leading this investigation with backup assistance from Virginia State Police.
