Cantor Introduces Flag Resolution Into U.S. House
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. House of Representatives is reviewing a resolution that would allow all Congressional Medal of Honor recipients to properly display the flag on their property at all times.

The measure is in response to a conflict between Colonel Van Barfoot, a decorated war veteran, and his Homeowners' Association over a flagpole in his front yard. The Sussex Square Homeowners' Association says the 21 foot flagpole violates their rules.

It was introduced in the house by Congressmen Eric Cantor and Howard McKeon from California.

However, the resolution does not specifically state that using a flag pole is the proper manner to display the flag.
