Update: Teen Hit with Ax
Hunter Kusterer says Omar Abdelaal, now charged with malicious wounding for hitting a 15 year-old with an ax, says he was acting in self defense.

"We were provoked", Kusterer says.

Kusterer says he, Abdelaal and another friend were hanging out near a McDonalds when a truck filled with six students from Lee-Davis High School drove up.

"Then they turned their truck around and one of them came out to us, the one who later got hit with an ax, well, he got in my face and started a fight with me or something and he said that I had said something to him and I said I don't know what you're talking about.... and they were yelling "go to tractor supply. They have razors for sale so you can go cut yourself"", says Kusterer.

Kusterer says when the other group left, he and his friends walked into Tractor Supply, Co - a frequent hangout.

" When we were in the parking lot, the guys were sitting there in their trucks and they yelled the same stuff at us", says Kusterer.

Kusterer said the boys followed them inside the store.

"And they kinda cornered us in there and said stuff to us and they pulled knives and took them off the shelf and they were saying "you can cut yourself with this, it works very well", says Kusterer.

Police say this is when Abdelaal grabbed an ax and hit a 15 year-old in the face.

"I was in shock a few seconds after it happened", says Kusterer.

Abdelaal is charged with aggravated malicious wounding. If convicted, he could face 20 years to life in prison. Kusterer has created has created a website so he and his friends can show their support for Abdelaal.
