HENRICO -
Earlier this month Johnny Quick was charged in Henrico County with impersonating a police officer and raping a woman officers say he abducted. Police told us they thought there could be more victims in neighboring areas.
"There was an advertisement through the media and the police that if there were anybody else out there to come forward and an individual did come forward," said Debra Corcoran, Quick's attorney.
Initially sources told us a male victim had surfaced in Chesterfield County. The arrest warrant for Quick refers to the victim multiple times as "he" or "him". Chesterfield police would not address the wording of the warrants but confirmed Tuesday that the victim was in fact a female. She came forward with the same allegations as the Henrico case earlier this month and a third case back in 2002. Quick is being held at the Henrico County jail and was denied bond last week. He had planned to appeal this week before the new charges were made this weekend.
"I'm sure the investigator did it to assure that Mr. Quick would not be out on bond in Henrico," said Corcoran.
Quick's lawyer says the tactic worked. She says now they won't appeal the bond decision. She says the new allegations are having an effect on Quick and his family.
"His family members a pretty distraught about this and his friends and obviously he's taking them seriously," said Corcoran
Quick will remain in custody and wait for his next day in court.
"We're just waiting for the date that he'll be arraigned her in Chesterfield and then we'll take it from there," said Corcoran.
