New Poll: Wilder Endorsement May Not Help
RICHMOND - Should the democrat who wants to be Virginia's next governor be concerned that former governor Doug Wilder has refused to endorse his candidacy? According to a new poll, the answer is no.

A survey conducted by Public Policy Polling shows that Wilder may have actually done Creigh Deeds a favor by not endorsing him.

According to the survey, 23% of Virginians polled say a Wilder endorsement would make them less likely to vote for a candidate.

Compare that to 8% who say it would make them more likely to cast a ballot for that person.
