C.A.R.E. is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, care, and adoption of cats and kittens rescued from being euthanized at animal shelters in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area. In addition, C.A.R.E. will expand its mission to accept, on a limited basis, cats and kittens from alternate sources, that is before they reach the pound or shelter.

RAL was founded in 1979 by a group of local good Samaritans concerned about the hundreds of stray animals in the area. We provide complete care and shelter to our animals until we can place them in permanent homes.
