FREE FESTIVAL: The Festival of Arts Words and Music Festival is Sunday July 18. Starting at 2pm, Byrd Park's Dogwood Dell comes alive with music from seven different local concert bands, plus performers, storytelling and poetry. Admission is free.
FREE FAMILY MOVIES: Beat the heat at a free family movie at a Regal Cinema Theater. Once again this summer, Regal will offer free admission to their 10 a.m. screenings on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings through the end of August. FREE FRIDAY MOVIE: This week's (July 16) free Richmond Parks and Rec Friday Movie in the Park is "Planet 51". The movie begins at 8:30 p.m. with free popcorn, drinks and cotton candy (while supplies last) at Mary Munford School's playground, at 211 Westmoreland Street.
