FREE HOLIDAY CONCERT: Genworth Financial's 27th Annual Independence Day Concert is Friday night (7/2) featuring the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. at Genworth at Broad St. and I-64, the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. followed by fireworks at approximately 8:45 p.m. Bring blankets and chairs. Parking is free, too. DOGWOOD DELL 4TH: Enjoy patriotic and popular music from the Richmond Concert Band and other featured musicians and Fireworks, complete with cannon fire, at Richmond's Fourth of July Extravaganza. Sunday July 4th, starting at 5 p.m. at the Byrd Park Carillon area, admission is free.

FREE THEME PARK ADMISSION: Kings Dominion in Doswell is offering free admission to active, retired and former United States military personnel this Sunday and Monday, July 4th and 5th. Just bring a valid military ID or discharge papers. They are also offering discounted admission to their families .

FREE 4TH OF JULY EVENT: Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden offers up free Fourth of July fun Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Enjoy live music and lots of fun activities in the Children's Garden including a parade of which you can take part in.

FREE HOLIDAY ADMISSION: Spend part of your 4th of July at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts where admission is always free. The newly renovated VMFA in Richmond is now open 365 days a year, including all holidays when they'll open from noon to 5 p.m.

FREE PARADE AND LAWN PARTY: Celebrate an old-fashioned 4th in Ashland at their Fourth of July Parade and Lawn Party on Sunday, July 4. The parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. from Henry Clay Elementary and ends at the Hanover Arts Center. There, enjoy music from the Hanover Concert band and a sing-a-long, as well as games and crafts, a patriotic pet contest and the famous apple pie contest and auction. OLD FASHIONED FOURTH: With free admission, celebrate the holiday at Meadow Farm Museum/Crump Park on Sunday, July 4th. From 1-5 p.m., enjoy musical entertainment, arts and crafts, face painting, a petting zoo, contests and games, pony rides, and two sky diving shows, along with free tours of Meadow Farm Museum and the Orientation Center exhibits.

FREE HOLIDAY FESTIVAL: The Parham Road Independence Day Parade & Festival kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, and is immediately followed by a festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring inflatable games, a dunk tank, a cake walk, live music, Richmond Raiders arena football players, craft vendors, and food at 2101 N. Parham Road. This event is free and open to the public. Don't miss WTVR-CBS 6's Jon Burkett as the parade Grand Marshal!

FREE THEME PARK ADMISSION: Busch Gardens Williamsburg is offering free admission through the summer for children age 9 and younger with the purchase of an adult ticket. The offer is good for Virginia residents only, and with pre-registration on-line, which you can do by clicking here.

FREE FAMILY MOVIES: Beat the heat at a free family movie at a Regal Cinema Theater. Once again this summer, Regal will offer free admission to their 10 a.m. screenings on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings through the end of August. FREE CHICK FIL-A: The Chick fil-A at Willow Lawn in Richmond has a special deal: bring in your church bulletin and get a free chicken sandwich when you buy any side item. The deal is good on Mondays through June from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Willow Lawn store only.

FREE HISTORICAL INTERPRETATION: See a free re-enactment of the Second Virginia Convention, which features Patrick Henry's rousing "Give me liberty, or give me death!" speech. Sundays through Labor day at St. John's Church at 2401 E. Broad Street in Church Hill. Admission is free for the 2 p.m. performance; ticket distribution begins at 1 p.m.
